After almost a 10 year absence of inducting our fine athletes, the Alumni Association revived the Athletic Hall of Fame on April 27, 2024.  The event was held in the Foyer at Peoria High School.  Estimates of 190 people attended.  Eight individuals and two teams were inducted into the PHS Hall of Fame.  Several Coaches, Athletes and Team Members returned to a luncheon catered by Barrack's Inn.

 

Lee Hall, former TV sportscaster and now calling the games on the mic at Bradley Basketball games, emceed the event introducing all those inducted.  A short bio was read of each individual and team inducted.  There was even video from the 1990 Girls Relay team in Charleston, IL.  Game highlights from the 2011-12 Boys State Basketball Championship was also played as the players were introduced.  Just to make sure we reminded all of the talent that was in the room...the State trophies were removed from there displays and brought out for the pictures following the event.  

 

Lots of stories and memories as all these fine athletes came together to reminisce about their days at Peoria High.  It was truly a joy for the Alumni Association to revive this great event.  We appreciate the donors who contributed to the event to make it special.  To the athletes , coaches, friends and families that attended, we appreciate you all and what you have done for Peoria High.  Thank you for attending this years event.  We hope to do it again soon!
